Have you joined in on the fun?

Have you joined in on the fun yet? Did you see the first block, it's pretty cute, a sweet little fox. Remember it's a free download this month only then after that it will be available for a small fee ($2.50)  I've had a few questions about this years BOM. So I thought I would take a little time to answer a few of them. This year's BOM is a mystery as to what the applique will be each month. But the layout can be found below. It's made using Primo Plaid flannels and cotton for the iron on, fusible applique. How big is the quilt has been a big question.

Finished measurements are 65 1/2" x 80 1/2"

I am making mine using my Lumberjack Primo Plaid flannels from Marcus Fabrics. The applique designs will use Laura Berringer's Scrap Heap cotton fabric also from Marcus Fabrics.

Each month a new applique design will be available for free as a PDF download. When it's a new month, the previous month's PDF patterns will be available for a small $2.50 fee. So don't forget to download your patterns the first of the month starting with January 2021!

The quilt layout features a Bear Paw block in each corner. The red and brown fabrics form diamonds and stars around the appliqued blocks. The block designs are a mystery!

I have a limited supply of fabric kits available on my website and in my Etsy store. They include all the fabric you need to complete the quilt top along with the binding. You'll need to provide thread, backing, fusible interfacing and batting. Buttons for eyes are optional. Everything listed above is what is in the kit. If you would like to use your own fabrics, you can use the above listing for how much you will need for the quilt top.

Mark your calendars! Let's have some quilty fun in 2021!

Happy quilting,

Cindy and Belvedere

~Woodland Fox~
The PDF pattern download is available on the website now thru the end of the month for free.

  3. Cindy, I have been following you for so many years I have lost count. You have outdone yourself on this years quilt. I am so excited. I want to enlarge the size of the quilt to 88x94. As long as I have quilted, I am still the dumbest when it comes to figuring fabric. Can you help me out please? I want to repeat the border colors. Thank you so much. Jeannne
