BOM 2019

Announcing a NEW BOM coming January 1st!
This will be a 12 month BOM series. We will work on our piecing skills along with some applique. An embroidery version will also be presented! It will be an adorable scrappy sampler quilt. I'm really excited about this quilt, I'm in love with how bright and cheerful it is. It's done in 1030's reproduction fabric which I LOVE!!! I just love the freshness of the colors and the retro feel. They'll be perfect for this scrappy style quilt. Inspired by my love of gardening... it'll be a wonderful project to work on. I hope that you are able to join me.

I'll be posting fabric requirements soon. But if you want to take some of the fabric gathering out of the equation, I have fabric kits available for both the quilt blocks and the applique pieces. I split these up into two kits to give you more flexibility. That way if you want to get the fabric kit alone for the blocks and rummage thru your stash for the applique bits, you can. Also if you want to embroider the designs instead of applique, then all you need is the fabric kit for the blocks. I did not include the background fabric, I'm leaving that up to you. You will need 4 yards of a white, cream or some sort of neutral background fabric. I'm using white.

~ This us currently unavailable ~

This block of the month will be run the same as in past years. The pattern section will be available for free the month that it is out. The first of the month when a new pattern comes out, the old month's pattern is still available for a small $2.99 fee. I do this to keep everyone motivated to keep working on their blocks each month. I suggest downloading and printing you pattern each month and putting it in a folder if you aren't planning on working on it right away. Let me let you know about some of the blocks... they are all fun! Some months you will have two blocks to make, sometimes only one. Some months there will be no applique or embroidery, other months there is. The logo gives you an idea of the design a little bit.
If you would like to post the button for the BOM on your website or blog to spread the word. Please grab the image above and link it to my blog. Let's spread the word! The more the merrier!
To make sure that you don't miss any of it, join my mailing list. Not only will you get all of the BOM 2019 postings and updates, but you will also hear about all sorts of other fun quilty goodness.

Happy Quilting!
Cindy and Belvedere

  48. I actually have REAL 1930's fabric to use! My great grandmother was a quilter; after I finished a Dresden plate quilt she had started, I had a lot of fabric left. I also have a few reproductions used to repair an old baby quilt she made... it was damaged by battery acid. Looking forward to getting my sewing on.
