Trees!
I actually just took my Christmas tree down last weekend. It was nice having it up a little longer so that I could enjoy the lights a little longer.
This month’s
block is a set of three checkerboard trees. I just love the scrappy look that
they have! You will make a total of three trees and the
pattern can be found for FREE this month in my Craftsy Shop and also on my website. Also, if you ever need to find past blocks or tutorials, I
have a tab at the top of my blog labeled 2016 BOM that you can click on to get
links to all past blog postings for this quilt. A complete listing of fabric
supplies can be found on my website, Craftsy Shop and also under the 2016 BOM tab on my blog. Remember to post
pictures of your progress on Instagram #quiltdoodledesignsBOM2016 (you can also
tag me at Quilt Doodle Designs) There is
also a flickr group you can join and post pictures. Remember you need
to post those pictures to qualify for the monthly drawing for the prizes.
When the quilt is pieced together and you are finished quilting, you can sew a star button on the top of each tree. Button kits are available from Hillcreek Designs! The button packs are available in my Etsy Shop. I have packaged the button packs a couple of different ways. Either as one big pack with everything in it or individually for each design/row.

Congratulations!!!
There's also a handy dandy grab-able button to post on your blog to help me promote and get the word out about this fun Christmas BOM . Please help to spread the word!
Happy Quilting!
The checkered trees are adorable! Thank you so much.
ReplyDeleteCongrats to the winner. Can't wait to get started on these trees.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the pattern!
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy. I am enjoying the blocks and thank you for addressing some of my questions (i.e adding the buttons and sewing the blocks together.
ReplyDeleteHave a good day.
Added your button and made a post about your BOM. Really cute. I'm saving, but not sewing much now.
ReplyDeleteIn making the reindeer block in the fabric requirements it says background fabric is cream. In the cutting directions it says background is to be blue, and in the picture of the quilt it shows creams as the background. Will you please confirm what color the background fabric should be and if it is blue, can you give us an idea how bright. jetanner31@gmail.com
ReplyDeleteThank you for your message... it is a cream background. Typo on my part.
DeleteHappy quilting!
I'm so excited!!! I won the buttons!! How do I go about getting them Cindy? I've never won before, but I can tell you that doing your quilts has been such a pleasure and a prize in itself. I've done two of your quilts, and this one is the third. Enjoying every minute!
