Guess what I'm doing today! Lynn and I are having a quilting day at my house. I'm so excited! The tables are set up, power strips are plugged in and ready to go. I've made a big pot of chili and have put out a snack table for us. The teapot is ready to make some tea. I know we will have a fabulous time! It's super cold outside so the fireplace is going. It's a perfect day to get together and sew. I hope to have some fun to share with you in a day or two.

Something to keep in mind.... if you are planning on sending your quilt off to be quilted or if you are doing the quilting yourself, you aren't going to work around the buttons. When I photograph my blocks, I lay the buttons in place on the block. After I take my picture, I put the buttons in a little baggie until after my quilt is done and quilted. What's nice is I have a photo for reference for where I wanted the buttons sewn. In fact, any embellishments go in the baggie until the quilt is quilted.... yo-yo's, buttons, beads etc....
There's a flicker group! Please join...Every month post photos of your Quilt Doodle BOM finishes in the BOM flicker group for a chance to win this month's prize! Woot woot!
If you want to be added to the email reminder list... send me your email. If you blog about the BOM and your progress, let me know! I would love to add you to the Pinterest board that I have started for this quilt.
The next block pattern will be posted on March 1st! The winner for the February block will be announced on March 1st also.

ReplyDeleteWhew! Just finished February's block, and with little time to spare....that Stonehenge fabric would be LOVELY to win! Even if I don't, however, this BOM is a delight in itself. Can't wait to see the March block! Thanks for the project!
