Welcome! Today is my day to show you what I did for the Wish Upon A Star blog hop! First, let me thank Carol at Just Let Me Quilt for organizing another wonderful blog hop! Thank you!! I have been super busy and all wrapped up in International Quilt Market prep so working on this project was a nice little break for me! As you read this, I will have just returned home from Portland, Oregon. I hope to share with you tons of pictures in a few days. After I collapse on the couch for a day or two and catch up on my puppy snuggles...
So for today's hop I made a project that's really challenged me for the style. I used fabric that is a bit out of my wheelhouse. I bought a fat quarter bundle of Cotton and Steel at Market last year during sample spree. I love the prints but it's a bit modern for me. But I love it. Didn't know what I would do with it but while at retreat I made a lap quilt. A giant star lap quilt.

I also made a scrappy backing, I didn't want to waste any little bit of it.
This quilt is already Maddie approved. See her in the corner! She already wanted to snuggle in it!

I had a lot of fun making this quilt, the finished measurements is 50" x 50", the perfect size for a lap quilt. I haven't written out the pattern yet. Help me name it by leaving a sweet comment.
