December Quilt Wrap Up

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas....

It has finally snowed here in Minnesota and the Christmas lights outside looks so pretty. I'm late with posting... again I am feeling like Lucy at the candy factory. There are days that I can certainly use an assistant! or arms like an octopus! I have received many emails on the 'December' blocks for the quilt. There are no planned December blocks. What is written on the layout for December are long rectangle sections on the quilt. Here is what my thought was at the time.... I left these spaces for you if you want to personalize your 'Favorite Things' quilt. You can embroider in these areas a favorite quote. You can embroider words you live by.... special quilting can be done in these areas. Whatever your heart desires. I left these areas plain on my quilt. I had thought of appliqueing some flowers in this section, repeating some sections from my quilt block, but then I decided not to. So I left December pretty 'free' so that you can have time to piece your quilt together and quilt it if you want to have it done for a Christmas gift.

This month's prize is a copy of Quiltmaker's 100 Blocks, Vol. 12 magazine. I'm pretty thrilled about it, I've been published!
