Who Needs a Lightbox?

I've been putting off tracing some new designs for the last couple of weeks because I don't have a lightbox for tracing.  I had so much to trace that I couldn't stand the thought of standing by my window tracing... praying that the paper or the fabric wouldn't slip or shift.  Then it occured to me this morning, all I need is a glass tabletop and some light.  I have that! Outside on my deck... So this afternoon I got all of my tracing done for some of my new pattern ideas...

My fabric squares are cut and ready to be traced...

I am so thrilled that I didn't have to have a lamp shining under my table.   The natural sunlight was enough to show my design through the fabric.

Tracing.....

Yeah!  All done tracing!!! Here's a sneak peek at one of my new designs...

Wilson is sitting at my feet, melting.  My poor poochie-poo.  I let my loyal puppy inside to enjoy the air conditioning.  He needs a haircut sooooo badly!

I stayed outside and enjoyed my view as I worked on my tracing.  Now off to start to embroider my designs.
You don't need a lightbox in the summertime if you have a glass topped table!
Happy quilting!
