Women of the 18th & 19 century used chatelaines & Make-do pincushions to keep their sewing tools handy. So in celebration of having a second row done on my Civil War Diary Quilt done I made a Make-do pincushion and put it on an old flower vase filled with Grandma Eva's buttons for myself and a chatelaine for a give-away! |

Everything, but especially fondling fabric! What I like about your blog? Everything, especially Wilson! I have 2 quilting dogs too.

ReplyDeleteHi I too have the Civil War diary Book , but haven't started it yet. I want to finish(ha ha right)my Farmer's Wife and Hobo quilt 1st. Oh yeah Poor little Dear Jane is always left out seems like. I love the whole fabric lines & super cool books about quilting.Going now to hit the follow button.

ReplyDeleteI've had the CWDQ book and cd for a couple of years but didn't start it. Recently, I decided this was going to be the year for me to do it and I found your blog. Thank you for your CW Saturdays, they've been very helpful to me.
I've been quilting since 1994; my enthusiasm has waxed and waned but it's never disappeared; I think, in part, because quilters are such great people.
BTW, I'm already a follower of your blog!
