Hack-Hack- Hacking Away.....

I bet a few of you have wondered if I have fallen off the face of the earth. No not quite, but I have been hack, hack, hacking away. I have the mother of all colds.... currently going on week three with the crud. I've never been so worn out from coughing... when I'm not hacking away, I'm sleeping in my comfy chair. But the huge problem is, I have tons to do! Christmas is only a few days away!  Today I actually woke up feeling like I could actually get something done and join the living again! So I'm trying to play catch up. Let's see how much I actually get done...

I have received many emails on the 'December' blocks for the quilt. There are no December blocks. What is written on the layout for December are long rectangle sections on the quilt. Here is what my thought was at the time.... I left these spaces for you if you want to personalize your 'Favorite Things' quilt. You can embroider in these areas a favorite quote. You can embroider words you live by.... special quilting can be done in these areas. Whatever your heart desires. I left these areas plain on my quilt. So I left December pretty 'free' so that you can have time to piece your quilt together and quilt it if you want to have it done for a Christmas gift. I hope that you have had time to piece the quilt together. Here are some photos of when I worked on the border pieces on my quilt.

My stack of squares... trimmed up. Do I keep the trimmed off pieces?

  2. If the coughing persists, have a dr check for whooping cough. My sister had the same cough only to later be diagnosed with whooping cough. She started meds and got better fast. Apparently the vaccination we had as children wears off and they are recommending another dose to many...I've had mine! Good luck. Hope you feel better soon so you can enjoy a Merry Christmas!
