April's Prize!

Spring is finally here!
Even though it's early, I've uncovered some of my perennials in hopes that an early spring is here to stay. I'm still searching for a robin... there doesn't seem to be any in our neighborhood yet! I'm sure it won't be long and the little birdies will be making their sweet little nests. Well, I have been saving some tiny thin strips that I fussy cut off some of my blocks this winter and have filled a suet feeder with the colorful strips. I'm hoping the birds will think it's great nesting materials. It would be fun to see some of the bright colors show up in the birds nests.

Now onto this month's prize. I picked up a couple of goodies that are just fun to work with. 3 fun bright fat quarters and a pack of 100 hexies. But these just aren't any hexies, they have fun sayings that make English paper piecing even more fun! These 'Hexie Talk' hexies for paper piecing are from the Amateur Quilter.
